Work May 11th - 15th
Hi Class! Here is the work for the week ahead. Try your best with it. If you wanted to do the work on 'Clouds' or 'The Ear' in the format of a little project this might be a nice idea. You could put your own spin on it and use any layout you like. Just an idea!

World Book Day
We all made a great effort to dress up as different characters from some of our favourite books for World Book Day 2020.
Junk Art
We began constructing famous buildings that were used during the 1916 Easter Rising, as part of our group projects. We used recycled materials and a lot of imagination and creativity!
Outdoor Fun
Enjoying the sunshine while estimating and measuring different areas around the school!
Our Bee Projects
Friendship Week
We were paired up with Ms. Haughney's first class for friendship week and we did lots of different activities together each day. We were each paired up with a buddy who we got to know and looked out for during the week! We really enjoyed it and had lots of fun helping and playing with our buddies!
Merry Christmas!
Working with First Class
We had lots of fun working with Ms Haughney's first class, helping them with their Christmas clay art projects!
Intel Mini Scientist Competition
We spent a long time working very hard on our science projects for the Intel Mini Scientist Competition, and all of our hard work really paid off. Every project was unique, interesting and very informative. We worked very well as teams and some of us even did projects on our own. On the 15th of November, two judges came from Intel and we all presented our projects to them. They were very impressed with every single project and they said it was extremely tough to pick a winner! We really enjoyed taking part in the competition and we learned a lot!
Preparing our presentations for the big day.
Judging day.
Garden Activities
We had lots of fun harvesting cabbages that we planted in the garden in 4th class. Some of us were lucky enough to get to bring one home to cook for dinner! We then planted some crocus flowers in our garden plot. This will ensure that lots of bees can pollinate in our school garden, which is very important for the environment!
Happy Halloween!
Maths Week Tangram Challenge
As part of the Maths Week acitivities around the school, we were challenged with creating a square shape using all 7 of the tangram pieces. The person who was able to complete the task in the quickest time was the winner!
