Hi everyone,
Hope you all had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the fabulous sunshine on Saturday. As we're looking at 3D shapes this week, here's a fun challenge for you:
Build a robot using 3D shapes!
I've attached a template to help you plan your robot if you wish to use it. I'm sure you have lots of materials around the house that you can use e.g. cereal boxes, tin cans, toilet/ kitchen roll tubes etc. Give it a go and send a picture of your creation: [email protected].
Have a great week,
Ms.McBrearty

Hi Everyone,
I hope you're all having a great week so far and are enjoying all the Active Schools' Week activities. I'd love to see photos of you in action! Email me: [email protected].
Don't forget to check out this fortnight's competition on the school home page too, creating your own obstacle course. It's linked in with Friday's activity for Active Schools' Week (closing date: 8th May). Best of luck!
A couple of jokes Aaron shared with me recently:
What is black & white and READ all over?
A Newspaper
Why did the COW cross the road?
He wanted to go to the MOOVIES :)))
Slán go fóill,
Ms. McBrearty

Happy Easter Boys and Girls! I hope you and all your families have a lovely Easter. Enjoy the break with your families and look after each other.
A few activities you can check out over Easter if you wish:
Solution to Tuesday's Maths problem: If there was 1 egg in the brown basket, no eggs in the red basket and 3 eggs in the pink basket, that would only make 4 eggs. If there were 2 eggs in the brown basket, 1 egg in the red basket and 4 eggs in the pink basket, this only makes 7 eggs. So finally, if there were 3 eggs in the brown basket, 2 eggs in the red basket and 5 eggs in the pink basket, there would be 10 eggs altogether.
I'll be in touch with you after the Easter Break. Looking forward to seeing you soon,
Ms. McBrearty
A few activities you can check out over Easter if you wish:
- Harry Potter at Home hub - lots of fun activities to do here https://www.wizardingworld.com/collections/harry-potter-at-home and you can continue listening to the rest of the first book "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone" here for free www.audible.co.uk/pd/Harry-Potter-and-the-Philosophers-Stone-Book-1-Audiobook/B017V568SY.
- Arts and Crafts - Loads of Easter and Spring themed arts and crafts to do here, with easy to follow steps: https://www.enchantedlearning.com/crafts/easter/
- Time Capsule - Make a time capsule to capture where we are at, at this time, using this pack covid_19_timecapsule.pdf. This would be something fascinating to look back on in years to come.
