Our New Wildflower Garden
As part of the biodiversity day that took place on 22 May 2021, John Paul Construction asked our school to participate in a wildflower planting project where they provided the school with wildflower seeds and fruit trees.
We have been busy planting fruit, vegetables, trees and flowers.
We are enjoying having John Joe Brennan teaching us all about gardening.

Senior Infants Visiting the Fairy Garden 2018-2019
Fairy Garden
During the week, Mr. Lynch noticed some very unusual goings on in the school garden while he was out checking on the pumpkins. Over the next few days, lots of the junior classes received a letter from a garden fairy who has begun to build a home outside to learn all about the plants and flowers and help our garden grow.
The fairy has brought a Worry Plaque with her as a gift to help take away some of our fears and concerns. We are looking forward to more letters from the fairy and reasons to go and explore the garden in the future.

Gairdín Uí Dhálaigh
In 2019, 6th class presented the school with a bench for our garden, in honour of Mrs. Daly. We had a ceremony in the garden where Fr. Karl blessed the garden and the bench and we unveiled a magnificent mural that has been painted as a tribute to Mrs. Daly. Our garden will be known as Gairdín Uí Dhálaigh in future. Our senior children from 5th and 6th class attended the ceremony along with Mrs. Daly's family, staff and retirees from Scoil Mhuire and Scoil Bhríde. The children sang and played the recorder beautifully on the day and were complimented by everyone. The respect they showed was an indication of the high regard they had
