Spooky Active Halloween
The whole school did a 10 minute active workout in the yard for our October Active Halloween. We all dressed up in different costumes and did lots of different exercises. Check out some of the photographs and videos.

The Active School Committee are outside at breaktimes to encourage all of the children to be active outside. They are playing games and doing exercises.

6th class really enjoyed their English lesson using the Walkway.

Junior Infants have been learning about shapes and really enjoyed searching for shapes on the Walkway today.
Senior Infants really enjoyed searching for shapes and letters on the Walkway today.
4th class really enjoyed using the Walkway.
3rd class were learning all about clocks in Maths this week and loved finding all the times on the Walkway.

Run Around Ireland Challenge

All classes were very busy running daily laps to reach lots of destinations around Ireland!

The children from Junior Infants to 2nd class are really enjoying having PE equipment to play with at lunch times. The senior classes are also really enjoying table tennis and giant connect 4 and also playing soccer on the grass.
Active Break Challenge - 8th Nov - 3rd Dec (4 weeks)
We are being active for 10 minutes everyday.
All classes in Scoil Mhuire really enjoyed the Active Break Challenge. Every class completed some form of a movement break every day during the 4 weeks. Lots of classes ran daily laps, did dancing and yoga in their classrooms, had exercise breaks and lots more. The children loved it and it is something that we are going to try and do more of as a school :)
