School Tour!
Since we couldn't go anywhere on school tour this year, we decided to bring the fun to us! We had a fantastic day... a ''Bricks4kidz'' workshop, GAA activities, an ice-cream stop and then a walk through Leixlip for a picnic! Take a look below at our fun-filled day!

Poetry Competition: 'What I love about School'
3rd Class entered a poetry competition this week. They had to write a poem based on the theme of 'School'. They had lots of fun brainstorming their favourite things about school and then composing their own poems!

Active Schools Week!
We had an AMAZING Actives School week! From wake-up shake-up, to dancing, to obstacle courses, to races... we had so much fun! Here are some pictures of our week.

The Titanic!
3rd Class have made amazing 3D models of the Titanic after learning all about this famous ship over the last few weeks. They also made some fact sheets and presented their work to the class.
Exciting Electricity!
3rd class had lots of fun this week learning about electricity and making circuits. We tried and tested lots of different materials to see what conducts electricity. Have a look at our experiments below!
Last week, we read 'The most magnificent thing' by Ashley Spires. It is a story about a little girl who builds something magnificent for her dog. Afterwards, Teacher set a class challenge for us to make our own magnificent thing - using anything we wanted! There was only one rule - to use our imaginations!!
Celebrating World Book Day:
Yesterday was World Book Day and 3rd Class decided to do short presentations on our favourite books. Have a look at some of our videos below... you might be inspired to read some great books!
This week in school, we are learning about Galway - a contrasting part of Ireland. We explored the Aran Islands and then made brochures to encourage others to visit one of the Islands. Have a look at some of our work below!
We have been learning all about the rock band 'Queen'. We really enjoyed this unit of work and listened to some of their songs to give them a rating out of ten! Afterwards, we had to do a mini research project about the band and present them at our class assembly. Take a look at some of projects below!
3rd Class have been learning about Water. Now that we understand the importance of water for life on Earth, we made some lovely posters to encourage others to save water and to look after our planet. Take a look at our brilliant work below!

3rd Class have been busy preparing for Christmas. We made a lovely Advent Wreath for our sacred space that reminds us about waiting and the true meaning of Christmas. We also made some Advent promises and we are trying our best to keep them! |
We made a 'Class Advent Calendar!! Together, we made a list of fun activities to do for each day of Advent.
Every day, teacher picks someone to open up the number and reveal our class treat.... we have had extra yard-time, made Christmas cards and even had a night off written homework! It's very exciting! |
