School Tour
We had a super day on our school tour to Lullymore heritage and discovery park. We enjoyed learning all about life in Ireland long ago. We explored the bog of Allen by train and went on a fairy trail. We saw lots of animals at the pet farm and we played in the indoor and outdoor play areas. It was a brilliant day :)

Active Schools Week has been so much fun. We loved doing "Wake up Shake Up" every morning. We ran a marathon together on Monday. We had Zumba with Ms. Milner and Yoga with Ms. Dillon on Tuesday. On Wednesday some of us and our Mammies joined in on the morning run before school. On Thursday we enjoyed watching the teachers verses students in a relay and rounders. On Friday we all did the "Wake up Shake Up" together in the hall and then we performed the Go Noodle dance "Break Free" that every class had been practising all week. We were so active all week with extra PE classes during the week too! 2nd class wish everyone a happy and active Easter :)
Our Trip to the Train Station
We took advantage of the lovely Spring weather today and went on our trip to the train station. We loved learning all about trains and Leixlip train station. We were so excited about our trip. We were lucky enough to see three trains pass. We had so much fun!

Friendship Week
Friendship week was a huge success. Our buddies from 6th class helped us with our China projects, listened to us reading our books and played games outside with us. We also got to play with them at break times. In our class we carried out a lot of acts of kindness. We had secret friends, made thank you and friendship cards, did some mindful activities and had a kindness box. We really enjoyed the week!

Grandparents Day
Grandparents day was a huge success in our classroom, we had lots of visitors. We asked them lots of questions and learned all about what school life was like long ago. We sang them a song, recited a poem, made them cards and had a lovely prayer service in the hall. It was such a lovely day!

Our Garden Visit
We took our first visit to the school garden and we were delighted to see all the fruit and vegetables that had grown. Mrs. Daly helped us plant some onion bulbs. We are looking forward to many garden visits this year to monitor the progress of our onions and all the other seeds and bulbs planted by other classes.
The Fairy Garden
We are so lucky to have a special visitor to our school garden this year. We hope the fairy enjoys learning about all the different types of plants and flowers we have. She may even invite her friends to visit. We especially like the worry plaque. We all had a turn and all our worries disappeared :)
