We created board games based on History topics we have covered. We really enjoyed making them and had great fun playing each others games.
We learned all about bees and how they can help us. We enjoyed a talk from Heritage Ireland and we made some lovely bee art.

Olympians Live!
We participated in a Zoom event this morning hosted by Dare to Believe Olympic Schools Programme. We heard from Olympic gymnast Rhys McClenaghan and Olympic boxer Aidan Walsh. It was really interesting and very enjoyable!

We had great fun with our Senior Infant buddies!
Maths
We have been learning about Area and Perimeter. We measured the Area and Perimeter of the yard. We drew square metres and used chalk to draw a Spring scene.

We have been studying Rocks in Geography. We went on a rock hunt in the school garden and completed rock reports on our findings. We wrote 'Rock raps' and performed them for the class.

A walk along the river
We went on a walk to see the journey of the River Rye and the River Liffey. We learned lots about the history of Leixlip along the way. We have a very enjoyable morning.

We took part in World Internet Safety Day. We had a discussion about keeping safe on the Internet and learned lots of useful tips from Webwise.

Grandparents Day
We invited our Grandparents into our classroom. We played chess with them, coloured pictures and interviewed them in groups. It was a lovely morning!

Christmas Art
Pizza Party
To finish our studies on Italy, we were rewarded with a pizza party! We helped to make the pizzas and really enjoyed eating the finished product. Yum!
Show and Tell
We brought in items from home that meant something to us and we showed our friends - we spoke about our item and we answered questions from the class.

Science Week
We had great fun during Science week. We did a small experiment each day and finished the week with a STEM challenge where we designed our own playground.

We had great fun at our Hula Hooping workshop with Sarah!

We completed puzzles with tangrams......we found it really challenging to make a square using all of the pieces!
We estimated how many conkers are in the box.

Ms. Doyle hid numbers around the classroom and we had to find them and figure out the pattern.

We went on a Lines and Angles hunt around the school yard.
We have been enjoying G.A.A with Coach Ciarán.
We are learning about Lines and Angles in Maths.

We harvested the carrots we grew last year and did some weeding in the garden.
We have been taking some trips to the library and have enjoyed reading our favourite books in peaceful surroundings.
