Harvesting our potatoes
We were so excited today to finally harvest our potatoes. First we harvested our 'Sharpes Express' potatoes which we planted in our garden. We counted 209 potatoes! If we left the potatoes to continue growing over the summer, in September the potatoes would be bigger - but we couldn't wait! Then we harvested our 'Orla' potatoes from our Incredible Edibles grow bag, which we kept in our classroom. We harvested 8 potatoes from this crop.
Our School Tour
We had a fantastic time on our school tour! We went to Croke Park and Bowling.
Healthy Eating for the Incredible Edibles
Our class had so much fun participating in the Incredible Edibles Project. We have been learning lots this year about eating healthy and growing our own fruit and vegetables. We have healthy lunches and on Monday we made a fruit salad and fruit smoothie! Blueberries are our favourite fruit!

Papercopters in Science
We really enjoyed ourselves this week during Science. We were experimenting with Papercopters. First we had to construct our Papercopters (which were a little bit tricky!). Then we predicted which way the Papercopters would spin:
A. = Clockwise
B. = Anti-clockwise
Results: The Papercopters spun both clockwise and anticlockwise. However, we discovered that in order to change the direction in which the Papercopter spun you had to change the direction of its wings.
