A big Happy Easter to all my Junior Infants.  You have all worked so hard over the last few weeks, well done!  It has been so lovely seeing the photos of what you have all been up to, keep sending them to me.

Hi everyone,  I hope you are all well and have been out enjoying the beautiful weather.  It has been lovely to see what some of you have been up, you have been very busy!  Keep sending me the pictures and I will keep adding them to the gallery below.  I am missing you all lots!

Some children in our class have their birthday this week. A big Happy Birthday to them!! If you would like to make cards for them, take a picture of them and I will add them to our gallery.  We will sing them a big happy birthday when we get back to school.

25th March

Hi everyone, I hope you and your families are all doing well and keeping safe.  I am missing you all so much and I can’t wait to see you all again.  I hope you are all still washing those hands and getting lots of fresh air!

Sydney is loving having me at home every day.  We have been on lots of walks together, he did his first hike and he even got his first hair cut!  I have also been doing lots of reading, baking and exercising. I would love to know what all of you have been up to.  Please send any photos you have to [email protected] and I will upload them to our page.

The following are some activities you might like to do:

  • Go on a nature walk and write down 5 things you saw when you get home.
  • Go on a shape hunt, looking for shapes in the environment.
  • You are all so amazing at junk art at school, why not create your own piece and send me a picture of it.
  • There is an art competition on the home page, your are all such fabulous artists, you should enter it!
  • Make a card for your wonderful grandparents.
  • Make a recording of your super reading and send it to your Grandparents, they would love that (you can send it to me too).
  • There are amazing dancers in the class, why not create a dance to your favourite song.
  • We love “Go Noodle” and “Cosmic Kids Yoga” at school, why not try them at home.
  • Joe Wicks has been doing a live PE session at 9am every day this week on Youtube, why not get all the family to join in.​
Looking forward to seeing some photos of what you are all doing.

Look what we have been up to:

Children in our class have been very busy creating junk art, keeping up with school work and helping their parents with the chores :) Some children have been very busy getting out for lovely family walks, exercising and creating.  Well done guys!  I would love to see what the rest of you are up to!!

World Book Day

Friendship Week

Friendship Week was such a great success.  We were buddies with 3rd class.  They listened to our reading, played games with us and we did PE with them.  We also got to play with our buddies at lunch times.
In our class we all had a secret friend that we had to do random acts of kindness for.  We had a kindness jar which was filled by the end of the week so our reward was decorating buns. 
We hope everyone has a lovely mid-term :) 

Grandparents Day

Grandparents Day was a great success in Scoil Mhuire today!  We loved listening to what school life was like long ago.  They had lots of interesting stories for us.  We sang them the Grandparents song and made them thank you cards.  It was such a lovely day!!

Special Visitors

We were so lucky to have two very special visitors to our class today.  We all got to pet and hold the goats.  It was so exciting!!

The Garden

We made our first visit to the school garden this week.  We looked at all the plants and flowers planted by classes last year and we are looking forward to doing our own planting.  We visited the fairy garden, we didn't see any of the fairies but we know how hard they work.  They even took all our worries away :)  We also visited the sensory garden which was so much fun!
