Ice cream party!

We ended the year with an ice cream party in the staffroom!

School Tour

This year we went to Croke Park for our school tour. We really enjoyed the tour of the stadium and learned lots of interesting things. We finished the day with a trip to the playground in the Phoenix Park.

Fire Station

We had great fun visiting Leixlip Fire Station. We got a tour of the station, got to practise cutting metal and even lifted a car off the ground. The best part was spraying the hose where everyone (including Ms. Doyle) got a bit wet! We enjoyed some ice pops on our way home!

Alensgrove

We were so lucky to be brought on a trip to Alensgrove with John Joe. We got to see and feed many animals including pigs, donkeys, alpacas, emu's, sheep, chicks and hens. We had our small break overlooking the River Liffey and we visited the Wonderful Barn on our way home.

Sports Day

We had a very exciting visitor to our classroom. Elyse's mam brought her baby to visit us! We learned all about caring for a new baby and the preparation that is needed before a baby arrives. She was full of smiles and chats and we think she wanted to join our class! A big thanks to Louise for visiting - we really enjoyed it.

We have been learning all about Ancient Egypt in school and completed fantastic projects at home.

Engineers Workshop

Eddie from Intel visited us for an Engineers Workshop. We made catapults and tested them using pom poms. We had great fun!

Internet Safety Day

On February 6th, we celebrated Internet Safety Day. We learned all about Cyberbullying and we discussed ways in which we can keep ourselves safe online.

We ended a great term with a well deserved hot chocolate party - we even had special marshmallows delivered by someone's elf!

We made paper chains using a single page of A4 paper.The longest chain was 3m 76cm long!

We separated salt from pepper using a balloon.

We enjoyed a Zoom session with a Marine Zoologist.

We made our own weather forecasts and presented them to the class.

Maths Week

We ended Maths Week by playing Maths games on the iPads. It was a lot of fun!

We surveyed some other classes and displayed the results on a bar chart.

Gavin from The Rediscovery Centre came to do a workshop with us. We were Maths Detectives and had to solve the crime using different Maths activities.
