​Ceilí Fun

We had so much fun for Lá Glas today.  We performed an Irish poem at assembly and had a ceilí in the hall.  We learned all about Saint Patrick in English and Irish and did some Saint Patrick's day Art.

World Book Day

We had so much fun for World Book Day today.  We loved telling everyone about our favourite book.  We went to assembly, had a disco, read books and drew a picture with our buddy class :)

Tennis

We had so much fun learning new tennis skills with coach Enzo.

Spring Planting

This week we have been learing all about Spring.  We planted cress seeds and are looking forward to watching them grow!

Internet Safety Day

Today we talked about different ways of staying safe on the internet.  We listened to a story called "Digiduck's Big Decision" and we had a colouring competition.

Water Safety

The children really enjoyed learning about how to be safe around water from a guest speaker from Water Safety Ireland!

Active Breaks Challenge

We have been very busy completing our daily Active Break challenges coming all the way from Croke Park!

Maths Week Fun

Jersey Day

​It was great to dress up for Jersey Day in aid of GOAL today. We went outside and skipped with our buddy class!

Harvesting in the Garden

Today we went to visit the garden with John Joe.  We looked at all the fruits and vegetables growing there.  We harvested corn on the cobs, carrots, onions and beans and sold them in our farm shop during playtime.  We also planted an acorn and will watch it grow into an oak tree in our classroom.

Friendship Week

This week in Scoil Mhuire we celebrated Friendship Week.  3rd class were our buddy class and we had so much fun with them.  We did lots of activities together: reading, colouring, Pe and Art.  We had a Kindness Jar in our class that we filled to the top.  We also loved having the inflatables on European Sports Day.

Our Lego Houses

We have been learning all about homes this fotnight and really enjoyed creating homes from lego with our partners.

Sensory Garden

We got 10 stars for super lining up after breaks this week and we got to visit the sensory garden.  We loved it!

Today we had our first trip to the garden with John Joe.  We harvested onions, carrots, potatoes and peas.  We had lots of fun!

Our First Day in School

​We have had a busy two days in Junior Infants. We sang Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes and 5 Little Ducks. We read a story about a boy called Harry bringing his dinosaurs to school. We played lots too!
