Bike Workshop Today we did a bike workshop with Paula from Green Schools for Bike Week 2026. We learned how to safely cycle our bikes and the ways in which we can do safety checks on our bikes.

Learning how to sew We have been learning how to sew in art and are able to prepare our thread, thread the needle and do a simple stitch!
Making Rice Crispy Buns We learned about solids, liquids and gases in science today. We then used our knowledge when making rice crispy buns as we had to turn solid chocolate bars into liquid.

Engineers Week 2026 We were very lucky to have an engineer from Intel join us for Engineers Week this year. We learned about how engineering impacts us on a daily basis and even got a chance to be engineers!

Building Lego Bridges For science today, we learned about bridges and got a chance to make our own from Lego. We quickly learned that they need extra supports to make them stable!
STEM with our buddies Our buddies in Junior Infants joined us for some STEM activities recently. We made different patterns using blocks, built some things and even played snakes and ladders.
Internet Safety Day We have been learning about the positives and negatives of the internet and the ways in which we can be more safe online.

More Active Breaks! We are really enjoying the breaks. We have now also been to the Clubs Wall, under the stand, the dressing rooms, the warm-up area and the press area!
Using Magnets We did the paper clip and magnets challenge in class today.

Active Break Every Day Challenge We have been participating in the Active Schools 'Active Break Every Day Challenge'. So far we have been to Jones Road, the handball centre, the turnstiles and the Michael Cusack statue at Croke Park.
Making Play-Dough Today we learned about the history of play-dough. We even got to make our own play dough and used it to help us learn about fractions.
