Mini Scientist On Tuesday, October 22nd, we had the pleasure of welcoming two judges to Scoil Mhuire to evaluate the outstanding projects 5th Class students had been working on since the beginning of the school year. The quality of all the projects were exceptional, and I was incredibly proud of the students' presentation skills. The topics were fascinating, covering areas such as the future of online shopping, kinetic energy, the effects of exercise on the heart, gravity and air resistance, food chains, density, Roblox, how water density affects gravity, natural disasters, oobleck, lasers, and bacteria growth. The students dedicated significant time and effort to research, experiments, creating impressive display boards, and writing detailed report booklets.
Well done to our winners: 1st. Ava Rose Gaffney. 2nd. Oisín Johnston, Ryan Mooney, Christopher Ghilan and Darragh Brynes. Even tie for 3rd place between Eimear Gillespie and Oisín Dunne.
